Giovanni & Marie Cena

WHO WE ARE

Our recipe’s heritage dates back to the late 1800’s in Palermo, Sicily. It was introduced to Pittsburgh’s “Lower Triangle” neighborhood in the 1930’s by Giovanni Baptiste Cena (CHAY-nah). Mr. Cena’s family, and now his grandson, have carried on the legacy for nearly 100 years.

Fire Roasted Crust Company is honored to be the curator of this heritage. Our fire for quality pizza crust has embers of legacy that trace back to Palermo, Sicily, forging our craft in the pizza-making furnace of the “Steel City” of Pittsburgh.
